Every C-Sink undergoes independent third-party verification before being listed in the Registry. Once certified and issued, C-Sinks can be transferred or retired to support credible climate claims. All registered C-Sinks follow the Global C-Sink methodologies developed by the Ithaka Institute and Carbon Standards.
