Intercontinental Exchange Strengthens Partnership Between TCHAR and Carbon Standards
Following the visit of Carbon Standards International AG with TCHAR in Taiwan in spring 2025, TCHAR recently visited Switzerland together with a Taiwanese delegation to further deepen the collaboration in the field of biochar production and certification, as well as carbon management.
Together, onsite meetings were held in Frick (Switzerland), and the pyrolysis plants of Sonnenerde (Austria) and Energy Ocean (Switzerland) were visited – facilities that transform biogenic residues into high-quality, certified EBC biochar.
One of the highlights of the visit was a hike in the mountains above Kandersteg. Under a cloudless sky, participants not only enjoyed the impressive scenery of the Swiss Alps but also took the opportunity to discuss strategies for the future use of industrial biochar and for jointly developing the Asian market.
The delegation from Taiwan also made a stop in Ramsau am Dachstein (Austria), where Georg Gerharter, Member of the Board of EASY-CERT group AG, welcomed the guests and guided them onto the Dachstein Glacier. The exchange with the visitors from Asia, Gerharter emphasized, forms a valuable bridge in the field of innovative environmental technologies.
